We are bringing our analytics (Measurement, Tagging & Reporting) team in-house and looking for ambitious, creative, open-minded people who love optimising data collection flows, visualising and analysing performance, and want an environment where they are free to do great work, collaborate with an international remote team, and help us to define best practice for the decade ahead.
Working with our paid media team, account managers and our clients, you will be responsible for owning everything to do with data, tracking, tagging and analytics implementation, data reporting and developing new services around 1st-Party Data collection solutions such as server-side tracking and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines between platforms and BI tools
You will have full ownership of strategies and production, with a career path in either building deeper skills in your specialist area, or developing as a manager with your own specialist team.

About the role
You’ll get a chance to work on an exciting roster of media and ecommerce clients and collaborate with their teams, implementing and contributing to the overall strategy, without having to move or commute to an office.
You’ll join a small, energetic team running global campaigns for an impressive and fast-growing client base. You’ll get front-line experience across the board and develop rare knowledge that will make you a remarkable digital analyst in any business context throughout your career.
In this role you will
- Join Account Managers on client calls to learn about their business and discuss your results, insights and recommendations
- Implement and manage Google Tag Manager for both straightforward and complex use cases
- Deliver UA and GA4 tracking, leading the drive to migrate current and new clients to GA4, and use this as an opportunity to open conversations around wider tracking and reporting opportunities
- Audit and assess ecommerce tracking for existing clients starting with our key ecom clients
- Measurement planning for new clients. Assist ads/SEO/email teams with identifying KPIs, setting targets, then ensure the account manager and team have accurate reporting of these high-level KPIs via Looker/Data Studio
- Ongoing analysis and insight generation on priority clients to find opportunities for our marketing specialists to deploy, with a focus on building interactive reporting and tools in sheets/data studio for them to interface with.
- Maximise all available signals to feed ad platforms with reliable, compliant data. Expand with enhanced conversions, and improve on standard events with parameters that are useful in advertising e.g. audience segmentation.
- Ensure consent mode and cookie notices are properly configured.
- Write javascript when needed to support implementation work
- Allow us and the client to leverage attribution modelling to inform campaign and budget decisions
- Create and maintain documentation related to analytics and GTM implementation
- Diagnose issues with analytics and marketing platform (e.g. facebook, Google Ads) configurations and tags, and provide recommendations for improvement
- Write implementation/dataLayer guides and QA developer work
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders with effective communication
- Innovate new strategies and techniques that push your toolkit to its absolute limits
- Document and maintain winning processes, and train future staff in their use
- Share what you learn in this role online and at events, promoting the expertise of both our company and you personally
- Lead on defining and delivering our new data pipeline service and work with MD on product strategy to make ETL tools accessible to our client base, starting with DMS as client no.1.
- Work with MD on vision and deployment of interactive whitelabel dashboards that give incredible visibility and control to our clients, and how it can interface with our operations team
About You
Apply now if this describes you:
- A Minimum of 4 years experience (ideally with an agency), with strong exposure and knowledge of cross channel digital advertising
- Strong knowledge of Business Intelligence Tools, (Looker / Data Studio, Google Tag Manager / GTM, Google Universal Analytics and GA4, Google Optimise / Optimizely)
- Experience with scripting/debugging (JavaScript, mySQL)
- Experience with Python / R. and / or PHP would be advantageous
- Passionate about driving real behaviour at scale and appreciating the responsibility of influencing large audiences

- The ability to be agile across multiple clients, being able to multitask is a must.

Salary & Benefits
- The salary range for this role is R45,000 – R70,000 a month depending on experience
- A total of 34 days annual leave allowance (includes South Africa and England Public Holidays)
